Omni Climbing

Terms of use

Effective October 25, 2026 · Private beta

These terms are an agreement between you and Omni Climbing ("Omni", "we"), about using the Omni app and website. By creating an account or using Omni, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Omni.

1. Who can use Omni

You must be at least 13 years old, or older where the law of your country sets a higher minimum for services like Omni (for example 14 in Italy and Spain, 15 in France, 16 in Germany, the Netherlands and Australia, and 18 in India and South Africa). The app asks your birth month and year and applies the minimum for the stricter of your App Store country and the country on your profile. If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for what happens on your account.

2. Climbing is dangerous

Board and spray-wall climbing can cause serious injury.

  • Omni shows climbs, grades, hold positions, angles and board lights to help you choose what to climb.
  • That information comes from manufacturers' catalogs, other climbers and scans, and it can be wrong, out of date or misaligned with the real board. Climbs and grades set by other climbers are not safety advice.
  • You decide whether and how to climb. Check the holds, the equipment and the landing yourself.
  • To the fullest extent the law allows, you take on the risks of climbing, and Omni isn't responsible for injuries from climbing you do while using it.

3. Boards, gyms and other companies

  • Omni is independent of Kilter, Tension Climbing and Moon Climbing. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any board manufacturer or gym, unless a gym's page says it's verified by Omni.
  • Product names belong to their owners.
  • Lighting a board over Bluetooth depends on hardware Omni doesn't control. Another phone or a manufacturer's app may take the board over.

4. Your content

  • You own it. That includes logs, playlists, filters, posts, comments, photos, spray walls, climbs you set and votes.
  • What you allow us to do with it. You give Omni a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display and adapt it (for example resizing a photo or translating a comment) so Omni can run the service and show it to the people you chose.
  • When the license ends. It ends when you delete the content or your account. Copies others already saved, and content that has become part of a shared record, are the exception: for example a climb other climbers logged, or a wall a gym adopted (see section 6).
  • You must have the right to post it. That applies especially to photos of walls and gyms.

5. Rules

Omni has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users: we remove objectionable content and suspend abusive accounts. You must not:

  • post anything unlawful, sexual, hateful, harassing or threatening, or slurs;
  • post other people's private information;
  • impersonate a person, gym or company, or falsely claim a gym;
  • spam or manipulate votes, ratings, rankings, bounties or grades (including with several accounts);
  • infringe copyright or trademarks;
  • interfere with Omni's security, scrape it, or get around rate limits or blocks;
  • use Omni to break a gym's or manufacturer's rules.

You can report content or accounts and block other climbers. Administrators may remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts. We'll tell you when we remove your content, unless that would be unsafe or unlawful.

6. Gyms and gym managers

  • If you claim a gym, you confirm you're authorized to act for it.
  • Verified gym owners and managers may manage the gym's walls, managers, boards, lists and competitions.
  • When a gym adopts a climber's scan as its wall, every published climb on that wall becomes visible to everyone (unpublished drafts stay private).
  • Omni may remove a verification if the claim is disputed or wrong.

7. Spray-wall scan rewards

  • When a verified gym chooses a climber's published scan as its official wall, Omni may grant that climber Omni Plus for as long as the gym stays on a paid Omni plan.
  • The gym decides. Votes guide it but don't decide it.
  • Scans by the gym's own staff don't qualify. The reward has no cash value and can't be transferred.
  • Omni may change or end the program. Rewards already granted keep running until they expire.

8. Plans and payments

  • Omni Plus and Pro are subscriptions bought through Apple's In-App Purchase, under Apple's terms for billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds.
  • Features in each plan may change. We'll give notice of changes that reduce what you paid for.

9. Intellectual property and copyright complaints

  • Omni's app, design, code and brand belong to Omni.
  • If you believe content on Omni infringes your copyright, email support@omniclimbing.com with "Copyright" in the subject, the address of the content, the work it infringes, your contact details and a statement that you're the owner or act for the owner.
  • We remove infringing content and end the accounts of repeat infringers.

10. Ending

  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Account deletion explains what is removed.
  • We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

11. Disclaimers and limits

  • Omni is provided "as is" during the beta, without warranties of accuracy, availability or fitness for a purpose, to the extent the law allows.
  • Omni's total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Omni in the last 12 months or US$50. Omni isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, to the extent the law allows.
  • Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

12. Apple

If you got Omni from the App Store, these terms are between you and Omni, not Apple. Apple has no responsibility for Omni or for support. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies as the minimum terms, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms.

13. Changes and contact

  • We'll post changes here with a new effective date, and ask you to accept significant ones in the app.
  • Local consumer law that can't be waived applies to you wherever these terms say otherwise.
